Chamomile Field 2026: The Day of Family

Romashkovoe Pole (Chamomile Meadow): A Summer Celebration of Family, Love, and Joy - CASR_Eve8-0288

Intro to Chamomile Field

As we did last year, our parish is once again preparing for our summer picnic, Chamomile Field (Ромашковое Поле). This celebration is especially dear to us, as it is connected with the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity.

Last year’s picnic brought together many parishioners, families, friends, and guests. It was a warm and joyful day filled with fellowship, children’s laughter, games, music, a festive meal, and many good memories. We invite you to watch the video from last year’s picnic and remember the beautiful atmosphere of that day.

This year, we hope to make the celebration even brighter and more joyful. Our guests can look forward to more activities, more games, more performances, more entertainment, and even more good cheer. There will be something enjoyable for both children and adults.

At the same time, while caring for the joy of earthly fellowship, we should not forget the spiritual side of our lives. In the spirit of the Orthodox faith, the day will begin with the Divine Liturgy. We warmly invite everyone to come to church, to pray, to receive Holy Communion, and to take part in the holy mysteries and prayer of the Church.

May this day become not only a time of rest, fellowship, and joy, but also an opportunity for spiritual strengthening, thanksgiving to God, and a good meeting with one another.

We invite all parishioners, families, friends, and guests to share this joyful day with us. Everyone is welcome — truly everyone! Come for prayer, fellowship, food, games, music, and a good family celebration in the spirit of love, faithfulness, and Orthodox joy.

Gratitude for the Donation of Memorial Granite Plaques for the Chapel of St. Nicholas

Our parish expresses heartfelt gratitude to Anthony L. Perito, Funeral Director at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, for his generous donation of memorial granite plaques for the newly built Chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The chapel was erected in memory of the ever-memorable Archpriest Nikolai, who faithfully served our parish for many years. It was consecrated by His Grace Bishop Matthew in the winter of 2025. Having known Father Nikolai for many years, Anthony L. Perito offered this donation as a personal gesture of respect,

Easter 2026

The church was full of that quiet, familiar Pascha feeling—candles in people’s hands, lilies around the tomb, tired kids, steady singing from the choir, and everyone waiting for the words we come for every year: Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen! After the service, Father Artemiy blessed the paschas, eggs, and festive foods that families brought after the long Lent. That part always feels special: everyone standing with their baskets, smiling, greeting each other, and slowly shifting from prayer
