In these holy January days, our parish prayerfully and solemnly celebrated the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ — Theophany.

The feast was preceded by the Eve of Theophany, during which the appointed services were celebrated in our church, preparing the faithful to receive this great revelation of God — the manifestation of the Holy Trinity to the world.

On Monday, January 19, the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great was served. Following the Liturgy, the Great Blessing of Water took place. With faith and reverence, the faithful prayed that the Holy Spirit would descend and sanctify the water, granting it grace for the healing of soul and body. After the service, parishioners joyfully collected the holy water to take into their homes for prayerful use and sanctification of daily life.

The clergy and faithful proceeded with a procession to the nearby lake located on the Patriarchal Estate, where the waters of the lake were also blessed. In accordance with the pious tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church, many faithful then immersed themselves in the blessed water.

Following the procession, a shared meal was organized, continuing the spirit of fellowship and joy in Christ.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the celebration of these services.

May the grace of Theophany, through which the waters — and all creation — are sanctified, touch every heart and strengthen us on the path of faith, repentance, and Christian life.

Happy Feast of Theophany!
